We are a diverse community of people who have one thing in common: we are all seeking to follow Jesus and to share His love and truth with others. Our vision is for “Whole Lives, Whole Communities.” We seek to build caring relationships with people who are marginalised in our society, who have fractured relationships with themselves, others and God. We want Jesus to make us whole – and through us, to bring His wholeness to our community and to people in other parts of our city, country and wider world.
We meet together on Sundays at 10.00am and in small groups through the week to encourage each other to make ‘knowing God and making Him known’ a reality in all dimensions of our lives, and to celebrate God’s amazing, undeserved goodness.
Baptist Christians have met under the name of Royal Oak Baptist Church in our part of Auckland, New Zealand for more than eighty years. A long-term hallmark of our church has been a passion for being and doing what Jesus has called us to be – to be like salt (adding flavour and preserving the good) and light (having a positive influence, replacing darkness with light) in our world.
In the following links you’ll discover a little more as to how this is outworked here at Royal Oak. Come and visit us in person if you get the chance and we hope you will feel the welcome and love of Jesus as we serve Him here in this unique part of Auckland...
